We are seeking a Canteen Manager / Chef for an exclusive hotel operation based in Nelspruit, South Africa.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the daily operation of the hotel canteen, ensuring consistent food quality, kitchen organisation, and efficient service delivery within a structured hospitality environment.
This role is suited to a reliable and organised individual with previous food service experience and the ability to maintain standards within a busy operational setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily canteen food preparation and service
Maintain kitchen organisation and cleanliness standards
Assist with stock control and ordering procedures
Ensure consistent food quality and presentation
Support smooth day-to-day kitchen operations
Maintain food safety and hygiene standards
Requirements:
2–3 years' experience in a similar role
Previous kitchen, canteen, or food service experience
Good organisational and communication skills
Reliable and hands-on approach
Ability to work within structured hospitality environments
Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
